Drawing

Outline and Mounting Dimensions

The drawing is used to confirm the product outline, mounting hole position, actuator head direction, adjustable rod length, conduit position, and installation space of the WLCL. Before installation, confirm that the moving mechanical part can contact the rod lever smoothly within the allowable operating angle.

The actuator should not be used as a direct mechanical stopper. Excessive impact, rod bending, misalignment, or insufficient overtravel allowance may affect contact stability and mechanical life.

Contact Form

WLCL Contact Form and Wiring Diagram

WLCL uses a double-circuit contact structure with normally open and normally closed contacts. The normally open contact uses terminals 3–4 and closes when the actuator is operated. The normally closed contact uses terminals 1–2 and opens when the actuator is operated.

Wiring logic should be selected according to the control circuit. Safety-related circuits often use NC logic, but the final selection should follow the electrical design of the equipment.

Load Type Notes

  • Surge current: NC 30A under, NO 20A under.
  • Inductive load has a power factor of 0.4 minimum for AC and a time constant of 7 ms maximum for DC.
  • Lamp load inrush current is approximately 10 times the steady-state current.
  • Motor load inrush current is approximately 6 times the steady-state current.
  • For inductive, lamp, or motor loads, the inrush current should be considered during circuit design.

Selection Guide

Actuator and Motion Direction

WLCL uses an adjustable rod lever actuator. It is suitable for applications where the contact position may vary or where the moving part needs a wider contact range. The rod should be adjusted so that the machine part contacts it smoothly within the allowable operating angle.

Electrical Load and Contact Rating

Before selecting WLCL, confirm whether the circuit is AC or DC, the operating voltage, current, load type, and whether the control system uses NO or NC logic. For motor, lamp, or inductive loads, select the switch according to the inrush current and not only the steady-state current.

Rod Adjustment and Reset

The adjustable rod should be set according to the machine stroke and mounting position. The moving part must operate the rod reliably without bending it or applying excessive impact. After actuation, the lever must return smoothly to its original position.

Installation Environment

WLCL has an IP66 protection degree and is suitable for industrial environments with dust, oil mist, and light water exposure. It is not designed for continuous immersion. Avoid direct high-pressure water jet unless additional protection is used. The cable entry must be properly sealed.

Wiring and Contact Logic

The normally open contact uses terminals 3–4, and the normally closed contact uses terminals 1–2. Select the contact logic according to the control circuit. Safety or fault-detection circuits often use NC logic, but the final wiring method must follow the machine electrical design.

FAQs

WLCL is a heavy duty limit switch with an adjustable rod lever actuator. It is used for mechanical position detection, travel-limit control, and motion feedback in industrial equipment.

WLCL uses an adjustable rod lever actuator. The rod lever can be set to match the machine stroke and contact position, making it suitable for applications with wider or variable operating ranges.

The normally open contact uses terminals 3–4, and the normally closed contact uses terminals 1–2.

The rated load depends on voltage, load type, and contact logic. For example, under resistance load, WLCL is rated at 10A for 125VAC and 5A for 250VAC. For motor, lamp, and inductive loads, the inrush current should also be considered.

WLCL has an IP66 protection degree. It is suitable for industrial environments with dust, oil mist, and light water exposure, but it should not be used for continuous immersion.

Before installation, check the rod lever length and direction, mounting dimensions, contact terminals, rated load, operating angle, reset movement, conduit position, and cable sealing. The moving part should contact the rod smoothly without bending it.

WLCL is commonly used in cranes, hoists, conveyors, elevators, machine tools, material handling equipment, packaging machinery, and other automation systems that require mechanical travel-limit detection.
