Drawing

Outline and Mounting Dimensions

The drawing is used to confirm the outline structure, mounting hole position, actuator movement direction, roller lever clearance, and cable entry direction of the TZ-8104. Before installation, check that the moving mechanical part can contact the roller smoothly without excessive impact.

Before installation, check the mounting hole position, actuator clearance, cable entry direction, and operating angle of the roller lever. The actuator should be contacted smoothly by the moving mechanical part without excessive impact.

TZ-8104 uses a double-circuit contact structure. The wiring logic should be selected according to the control circuit design.

Safety-related circuits often use NC logic, but the final contact selection should be confirmed according to the electrical design of the machine.

Selection Guide

Actuator and Motion Direction

TZ-8104 uses a roller lever actuator. It is suitable when a moving cam, guide rail, plate, or mechanical stopper contacts the roller from the correct direction. The roller helps reduce friction during actuation, but enough operating angle and reset space must be reserved. It should not be used as a direct heavy-impact stopper.

Electrical Load and Contact Rating

Before selecting TZ-8104, confirm whether the circuit is AC or DC, the operating voltage, current, load type, and whether the control system uses NO or NC logic. For motor, lamp, or inductive loads, select the switch according to the inrush current and not only the steady-state current.

Stroke, Overtravel and Reset

For TZ-8104, the pre-travel is 20° maximum, overtravel is 50° minimum, movement differential is 12° maximum, and release force is 100 g minimum. The moving part must operate the roller reliably without excessive impact. After actuation, the lever must return smoothly to its original position.

Installation Environment

TZ-8104 has an IP65 protection degree and is suitable for industrial environments with dust, oil mist, and light water exposure. It is not designed for continuous immersion. Avoid direct high-pressure water jet unless additional protection is used. The cable entry must be properly sealed, and the ambient temperature should remain within -20°C to +70°C.

Wiring and Contact Logic

The normally open contact uses terminals 13–14, and the normally closed contact uses terminals 11–12. Select the contact logic according to the control circuit. Safety or fault-detection circuits often use NC logic, but the final wiring method must follow the machine electrical design.

FAQs

TZ-8104 is a vertical limit switch with a roller lever actuator. It is used for mechanical position detection, stroke limit control, and machine operation feedback in industrial automation equipment.

TZ-8104 uses a roller lever actuator. The roller lever is suitable for applications where a moving cam, guide rail, plate, or mechanical stopper contacts the switch during machine operation.

The normally open contact uses terminals 13–14, and the normally closed contact uses terminals 11–12.

The rated load depends on voltage, load type, and contact logic. For example, under resistance load, TZ-8104 is rated at 5A for 125VAC and 250VAC. For lamp, inductive, and motor loads, the inrush current should also be considered.

TZ-8104 has an IP65 protection degree. It is suitable for industrial environments with dust, oil mist, and light water exposure, but it should not be used for continuous immersion.

Before replacement, check the actuator type, mounting dimensions, roller lever direction, contact terminals, rated load, operating stroke, and cable entry direction. The moving part should contact the roller smoothly and allow reliable reset.

Yes. TZ-8104 has a compact water-proof and oil-proof structure with IP65 protection. However, the cable entry and mounting area should be properly sealed, and the switch should not be exposed to continuous immersion or excessive mechanical impact.
